OneTigris 1000D Outdoor Men Military Duffle Assault Combined Backpack Rucksacks Sport Molle Camping Travel Hiking Trekking Bag Reviews:I was a little bit skeptical when I ordered this bag a few days ago- I wasn't familiar with OneTigris and the price seemed too good to be true. I was even unsure about the company logo patch on the main pocket- I figured I'd just cut it off when it arrived. I also wasn't sure whether the strap configuration on the back would hook up like i needed it to, and considered buying a standard MOLLE Waist Pack instead.
I was looking to use it as an IFAK+ bag that could attach to my Fighting Load Carrier or Assault Pack, or as a stand alone back to take on short hikes, boat trips, etc. I figured worst case scenario I could just use this as a car medical bag and throw it in the trunk.
Well, the package came in today and I couldn't be happier!
From the top:
Quality: the first thing I noticed was the fabric quality. It's definitely 1000D, and it has a plasticized interior surface to add water resistance. It looks like they went all out and used legit Crye Precision fabric- the MultiCam patterning is perfect. All seams are at least double stitched with quality, thick thread. Zippers don't say YKK but definitely feel like them- they're big enough to handle with gloves and have large holes at the ends in case you wanted to add paracord monkey fists, etc. Zipper teeth are thick, burly and quiet. Straps and buckles are very quality, well stitched, and at least as good as any milsurp buckles I've seen. Altogether the bag is sturdy enough that I wouldn't feel uncomfortable filling it with ammo and swinging it around in a china shop- this thing will hold together.
Features: As I said, I was looking to use this three ways- on my FLC, on my Assault Pack, and standalone.
MOLLE straps on the back are some of the best I've seen- very tough without being impossible to bend. Fits securely and easily on the back of my FLC without an issue. Check!
As for my Assault Pack, I figured out two good options. The MOLLE straps on the pouch make for easy mounting above the main pocket toward the top of the bag. This puts the load comfortably high and doesn't interfere with any zippers, compression straps, etc. A second option utilizes a unique feature of this bag that I haven't seen anywhere else. Under each of the back MOLLE straps are two black metal D rings. By threading the straps through, the rings are on top, and can allow you the extra option of threading the main pocket compression straps through the D rings so that the pouch lays directly over the main pocket on the packet. This takes about two minutes to accomplish, and allows you to use the Assault Pack's upper webbing to mount other accessories.
Noticing the D rings led me to another discovery- with the MOLLE straps tucked away, the D rings allow me to mount to just about anything! From my civilian backpacking pack to anything I can wrap paracord around, I'm set. So the bag gave me another mounting possibility I wasn't even looking for!
As a standalone bag the thick, high quality strap can mount to the back or top. While on the back it can stow under a thick layer of fabric, allowing you to attach the pack to a web belt (or even a standard civilian belt), or keep the strap out and wear it on your waist. With the strap mounted on the top it can easily be carried on one shoulder or around the shoulder and neck- comfortable either way.
The webbing on the bag is also unique compared to what I've seen before. On both the back and sides there is 1" MOLLE webbing incorporated into a larger 2" webbing, allowing you to attach larger flash lights, folding knives, etc- anything with a clip. If you look closely at the pictures you can also see that on either side of the main compartment there are vertical compartments open on both ends. They're about as big around as my index finger and would be perfect for storing a small tac-lite with a clip, or failing that, a pen. Or a tactical pen!
